Our Nikon pick is an easy one for us to make. We started off using Nikon cameras and still use Nikon SLRs in most of our photographic work, and the Nikon Coolpix is an old favourite – it is, and always has been, an outstanding compact digital camera. It has gone through many guises but every new realisation of this model has continued to surprise us with it’s innovations and ease of use. This model is the Nikon S620.
It has 12 million megapixels and a smashing 2.7 in LCD to view your images on. It also contains Nikon’s legendary high ISO technology meaning less noise in lower light conditions. Combine that with it’s anti-blink features and Smart AUTO mode then there’s really no excuse not to get those pictures right first time. You don’t get HD video with this model so check our Best Pink Camera page if you need that, but for ease of use and just getting great pictures straight out of the box, then you can’t really go wrong with this little beauty.
