Panasonic pink camera

Our choice in the Panasonic pink camera line-up – the Lumix DMC-FS7

If you’ve read through our other reviews you may have got the impression that our favourite brand is Nikon. Well, maybe not when it comes to compacts. We’ve had a Lumix kicking alongside our SLR kit as well as a Coolpix and we have to say that the Panasonic Lumix is a delight to use. This particular model is the DMC-FS7.

Originally this was released as a budget model but saying that it’s packed with features. And being real photographers ourselves one of it’s big selling points is the Leica lens. It really is a smashing piece of glass and here it will give you a range of between 33 – 130 mm. The sensor is 10.1 megapixels but as we informed you earlier, there really isn’t that much difference between this and the 12 megapixel cameras on offer. In fact, keeping the sensor size down to just over 10 megapixels means a cleaner image through a larger range of light conditions as sensor noise is kept down.

You get a standard VGA movie mode here and a now standard 2.7 in display, so everything you shoot will be clearly seen. There’s Face Detection, Intelligent Scene detection and a host of other features that means that all you have to do is compose your image and press the button.

This Panasonic pink camera really is an ultra-compact – it is just so stylish and easy to use.
